Crystals of unknown origin were found at the contact of chlorite-sericite phyllite and marble rocks by speleologists in 1973 in the Albeřická Cave in the eastern part of the Krkonoše Mts (the Giant Mts). They believed that they had found garnets. However, a detailed study in 2011 revealed that they are limonite pseudomorphs after pyrite crystals.
