The study of species diversity of vegetation cover of naturally dispersed dwarf pine (Pinus mugo) polycormons in the sub-alpine zone of the western Giant Mountains was focused on the micromapping and phytosociological relevés under 50 polycormons located along the axis of linear transect between localities Harrachovy kameny Mt., Kotel Mt. and Czech-Polish state border. The aim was to confront it with the species composition of vegetation cover in the older dwarf pine plantations. The geobotanic synthesis shows that the species composition is analogous and the representation of plant species is low in both cases. One of the most important indicated values out of the synoptic processing of proportions of original dwarf pine polycormons is the diameter of polycormons (7,820,5 m) which might bring a partial benefit to the management intervention sparsing of the old dwarf pine plantations.
