The thesis presents a short history of mining costs in a list of historical owners of the Riesenhain Works, the allotments and mine workings of the work as well as the natural resources in the Obří důl valley and the town of Horní Malá Úpa in the eastern Krkonoše/Karkonosze Mts (The Giant Mts). The works had a monopoly position in the Bohemian market in 1828 -1868 (for arsenic in the period 1828 -1868, for copper 1830 -1853) as shown from a comparison with records of Bohemian copper and arsenic production within the Austrian Monarchy.
