The article presents data on the phytogeography, chorology, ecology, and phytosociology of grasses in the Polish part of the Karkonosze Mts (Giants Mts). Floristic investigations and analyses showed a significant relationship between altitude, taxon attachment to specific ecological groups within the system of major vegetation classes, and the type of local geographical range. In the distribution of all the encountered grasses, there is a distinguished group of a dozen taxa, which reflect the floristic separateness of the geobotanical units of the Karkonosze Mts. Increased human pressure affects all the vascular flora. Among others, this results in the simultaneous occurrence of two opposing plant groups: threatened and expansive grass taxa.
Artykuł prezentuje dane z zakresu fitogeografi i, chorologii, ekologii i fitosocjologii flory traw polskiej części Karkonoszy wraz z Pogórzem Karkonoskim. W wyniku badań florystycznych i przeprowadzonych analiz stwierdzono istotną zależność pomiędzy wysokością bezwzględną i przywiązaniem do określonych grup ekologicznych w systemie głównych klas roślinności a lokalnym typem zasięgu.
