The occurrence of Deschampsia caespitosa subsp. gaudinii in plant communities from the Mulgedio-Aconitetea class was investigated on the basis of the author's field studies performed from 2007 to 2011 in the Polish part of the Karkonosze/Krkonoše (Giant Mts). This taxon grows mainly in the subalpine vegetation belt and is to a various extent attached to hygrophilous habitats. It was noted in tall-herb communities (Athyrietum distentifolii, Bupleuro longifoliae-Calamagrostietum arundinaceae, Cicerbitetum alpinae, Crepido conyzifoliae-Calamagrostietum villosae, Pado borealis-Sorbetum aucupariae and Salicetum lapponum) where it attains high phytosociological constancy and in some places a significant cover degree.
Notowano go w zbiorowiskach ziołorośli i traworośli (Athyrietum distentifolii, Bupleuro longifoliae-Calamagrostietum arundinaceae, Cicerbitetum alpinae, Crepido conyzifoliae-Calamagrostietum villosae, Pado borealis-Sorbetum aucupariae and Salicetum lapponum), gdzie osiągał wysoką stałość fitosocjologiczną i miejscami znaczny stopień pokrycia.
