V rámci srovnávacích studií tundrové vegetace arkto-alpínské tundry Krkonoš, tundry jižního Norska a severního Švédska byla metodou zemních pastí studována horizontální distribuce na povrchu půdy žijících pavouků (Araneae), sekáčů (Opiliones) a střevlíkovitých brouků (Coleoptera: Carabidae) v pěti různých typech tundrové vegetace (travinné, keřové, rašelinné, vyfoukávané lišejníkové a keříčkovité).
A horizontal distribution of on the soil surface living spiders (Araneae), harvestmen (Opiliones) and ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) was investigated by a pitfall trapping at 5 different types of tundra vegetation (grass, shrub, peatbog, windswept lichen and dwarf shrub). The investigation was a part of a detailed comparative study on vegetation of the arcto-alpine tundra of the Krkonoše/Karkonosze Mts (the Giant Mts), tundra of south Norway and north Sweden. Several species showed more or less strong preference to occur at a certain type of tundra vegetation in a particular region. Nevertheless it was not possible on the bases of this study to definitely specify and generalize the influence of vegetation on the horizontal distribution and epigeic activity of the studied groups. Similarity of epigeic fauna among three studied tundra regions is further evaluated and the important faunistic records are discussed.
