A geological characterization of marbels of the Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline complex in the surroundings of Janské Lázně was carried out, and their relationship to natural curative sources of mineral water was investigated. The marbles are present as fragments of a thick layer in albitic phyllites. The predominant type of the marble is lightly grey to lightly beige, with a weekly planar fabric. The marbles consist predominantly of calcite and dolomite of fine to medium grain. Orientation of foliation is ENE-WSW, dipping at 5 ° to 50 ° to SSE. Lineation is dipping at 80 ° to 30 ° to E to SE. The hypotheses on the genesis of thermal springs in Janské Lázn stresses the importance of the marble complexes that form a component of the wall rock of the erná Hora massif. Drilling exploration close to the thermal springs has verified the location of the marbles to which the erný and Janv springs are associated.
