Pokračující pyloanalytický výzkum Krkonoš poskytl nové podklady pro paleorekonstrukci vegetace a krajiny území. Referenční profily z prostoru Labský důl jsou: LDI. (1283 cm) a LDII. (1490 cm). Jsou studovány interdisciplinárně včetně geomorfologických, sedimentologických a ostatních analýz. Pyloanalytický výzkum zahrnuje i analýzu „non pollen palynomorphs“ s důrazem na kokální zelené řasy. Oba profily v sobě deponují informace o krajině a vegetaci z konce pleistocénu a celého holocénu. Tyto nálezy a zvláště staré typy Pediastrum i Botryococcus potvrzují existenci původních starších uloženin někde v prostoru Labského dolu či výše.
Continuing pollenanalytical research of the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše in Czech) has provided new data for a palaeoreconstruction of vegetation and landscape. The reference profiles for the area of Labský důl Valley are: LDI. (1283 cm) and LDII. (1490 cm). The interdisciplinary research involves geomorphological, sedimentological, as well as other analyses. The pollenanalytical research was also focussed on the analysis of “non pollen palynomorphs”, above all- coccal green algae. Both profiles provide information on the landscape and vegetation in the end of Pleistocene and the whole Holocene. The Late Glacial vegetation of mountain and shrub tundra passed into forest communities since the beginning of Holocene. Basal sediment of both profiles is formed by redeposited mineral sediments with prevailing palynomorphs in the first place, from the Tertiery (Sciadopitys, Sequoia, Celtis, Engelhardtia type, Nyssa, Tsuga, Taxodiaceae, Lygodium etc.). These findings and mainly the old types of Pediastrum and Botryococcus confirm the existence of older sediments somewhere in the area of Labský důl Valley or even further up. Cysts of marine Dinoflagellata came probably from the material of Cretaceous age. Such Cretaceous and Tertiery sediments could have been raised to such a height during a tectonic uplift of the Giant Mts. at the end of Tertiery or other wise. Such sediments can not be find at present since erosion has caused their disappearance (see “Conclusion”). The findings of coccal green algae testify to the existence of a glacial lake in the Late Glacial. The lake was overgrown in the Middle Holocene. Discussed is the occurrence of some pollenanalytically confirmed plants. The presence of chloroplasts in cells of mosses and Melosira (Diatomae) points to the existence of permafrost at the time of their sedimentation.
