Extenzivní pastva ovcí zde slouží k zachování charakteru luk, zastavení nežádoucí sukcese a obnovení biodiverzity lučních porostů. Vzorky píce k pokusům byly odebrány na začátku pastvy 9. června (vzorek A) a v druhé polovině pastvy 16. srpna (vzorek B).
The aim of the project was to estimate nutritive values of pastures in extreme mountain conditions of the Krkonoše Mts. National Park. Extensive sheep grazing serves to preservation of rare, protected and endangered species of plants (including endemics) and to restoration biodiverzity of meadows. The pasture is situated in area of Zadní Rennerovky in the altitude of about 1240 m. The nutritive value of pasture was estimated. The samples of forages were taken on the 9th of June (sample A) and on the 16th of August (sample B). Coefficients of organic matter digestibility (62.7 % and 52.6 %) and crude protein (68.0 % and 55,4 %) were determined. This project was supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (Project No. 523/98/P209).
