The objective of this task is to determine areas that require consideration of eventual management measures in the existing Mountain Pine stands in regards to occurrence of some significant geomorphological and botanical phenomena. The model area is put to the western part of the alpine zone in the region amid Zlaté návrší, Kotel and state border. It's a partial study that contributes to the overall solution of the management of Mountain Pine stands within the Giant Mts.' tundra. There were three basic GIS layers used in the study - map of geomorphological phenomena, map of origin of the Mountain Pine stands and map of plant communities. Results of this analysis should include an alternative proposal of detail maps that could be utilized during decision-making on prospective treatments to the stands of Mountain Pine in the Giant Mts.
