During the last decades the mires of the Izerskie Mts. were subject to various unfavourable changes. In that time their flora lost three species: Salix myrtilloides L., Salix lapponum L., Rubus chamaemorus L. Our investigations, carried out in 1995-2000, showed that on some of the mires such rare species like: Scheuchzeria palustris L., Drosera intermedia Hayne, Lycopodiella inundata (L.) Holub are still presented, whereas the population sizes of Betula nana L. and Pinus x rhaetica Brügger are higher than previously recorded. Comarum palustre L. should be also included among rare mire plants in the Izerskie Mts. Salix rosmarinifolia L., earlier not observed on these mires, was also found there. The paper reports on distribution, the state of populations, ecology and threats to the mentioned species. The forms of rare species conservation are also discussed.
